How Replenishment Works

Stack of coins.

When your account balance reaches your pre-set low balance threshold or less, your transponder will emit a high-low-high-low tone. Your transponder is notifying you to replenish your account immediately.

How long does it take to replenish your account?
If you travel on the Turnpike, replenishment typically takes up to 24 hours. However, if you travel on MDX, E-Pass, O-Pass and LeeWay expressways and bridges, replenishment can take up to two days before funds are downloaded into your account.

Replenishments can be accomplished in the following ways:

Easy Pay
Most SunPass customers have one less thing to worry about because they link their Prepaid Account to a credit card. When a Personal Account reaches a pre-set low balance threshold (minimum/default is $10.00), it is automatically replenished to a pre-set amount determined at the time of enrollment.

All Easy Pay customers automatically become SunPass Plus customers and have the priviledge of using their transponders to pay for airport parking at Orlando and soon Fort Lauderdale, Tampa and Palm Beach airports.

The replenishment thresholds for Commercial accounts are also determined during account enrollment according to the expected usage.

If you take long trips on the Turnpike, SunPass suggests raising your low balance threshold so you do not run out of funds. It is your responsibility to monitor the status of your Prepaid Account and ensure it has sufficient funds to cover all applicable tolls and other charges.
